I’m very creative at heart so when a friend I knew from Uni called and asked me to send some photos of gifts I thought would be perfect for her wedding list I decided to make it a bit more fun.

For a while I’ve been spreading the news that paraffin candles can release unwanted chemicals, and now The Independent has written about scientists which have completed a study confirming that dangerous chemicals are released into your atmosphere when paraffin candles are alight.
Researchers for the American Chemical Society observed that “Burning candles does not produce high enough temperatures to combust the heavy molecules contained in paraffin wax completely. This led to the formation and emission of hazardous molecules.”
Soy candles are my candle of choice for so many reasons, they’re longer lasting, hold more fragrance but most
importantly they are completely safe to use in your home.
I’m no technophobe, I enjoy blogging, but twitter has never seemed to me as essential as other people see it.
Lately I’ve been converted from twit to twitterer, and realised that one of it’s abilities, to connect and talk to customers directly is incredibly useful.

I met a good friend recently one morning. Although we talk all the time we hadn’t seen each other in ages. She’s one of those people who like to be stylish and looked stunning, as always and smelled wonderful, so I asked about her perfume.
She told me she’d stopped wearing proper perfume because it gave her headaches and the aroma was actually from a bar of Ylang Ylang I’d sent her. I was so pleased.
Because of a hectic work schedule she’d managed to get her morning routine down to a quick shower and wash with my soap, yet she still looked swish and smelled sophisticated.
It made me think of a quote I’d heard said to come from the famous icon of fashion and photography Cecil Beaton.
“What is elegance? Soap and water!”
Body butter is an excellent moisturiser to keep dry skin smooth and supple in the summer, but some women find it’s too rich for holidays in hot climates and sticky summer heat.
It’s important if you have dry skin to keep using moisturisers like body butter as it has a high natural plant base with active ingredients Like Shea butter and coconut oil. The trick in summer is to learn how to use less. A tip with traditional body butter is to break a piece off into a bowl, then sit that bowl in a sink with warm water.
The body butter liquefies and a when you smooth it on with your fingers a little will go a long way. Start to melt the butter before you get into a pampering bath. When you’re finished, the body butter should be the perfect texture to use, and on wet skin it should spread more thinly for a much lighter application.
